As with most lives, mine has been filled with joys and sorrows; I’ve won some and lost some. For the most part, though, the adventure has been a joyous one.

I’ve traveled the world, lived in many places, spent many years in Academe, and worked in many arenas where I was considered an oddity because of my gender.

Through it all, I’ve looked at life as a mystery and an adventure – a mystery because all can never be known – an adventure because mysteries always beg to be solved, and who can resist?
